There is a great shortage of trained Play Therapy Supervisors throughout the world.
In some cases practitioners of therapeutic play and play therapy have to use clinical supervisors from related fields such as counselling, the creative arts therapies or experienced practitioners. This situation is undesirable. Play Therapy Supervisors should have:

The course, accredited by PTI is designed for those who have at least 300 hours experience of working with children or adolescents using play/creative arts therapy as well as experienced, accredited counsellors.
This course is at stage 4 of the PTI four stage training model

| Synopsis |
The course is designed to give an in depth knowledge and understanding of general supervision principles and also those specific to the areas in which the course participants practice. eg child and family Centres, schools, hospitals. The course, which is to a large extent skill based, has been designed to be delivered over 4 two day modules.
